Veggie Burger – Home Made Vegetable Patty

 Veggie Burger | Making the Transition to Vegetarian

Making the transition to vegetarian is easy if you cook the right foods.  Try this Vegetable Patty | Veggie Burger.  It is packed with flavour and is super easy to make.

Home Made Vegetable Patty | Veggie Burger

Prep time:  15 mins

Cook time:  60 mins

Total time:  1 hour 15 mins

Serves: 4-6 people

This recipe is for a delicious vegetable patty.
Ingredients
Patty Ingredients
  • 2 cooked potatoes
  • 3 cooked carrots
  • 2 stalks cooked celery
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • ½ cup rice
  • 2 tsp. onion salt
Garnish Ingredients
  • 1 Tomatoe
  • ½ Head of lettuce
  • ½ Onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 Avocado
Instructions
Patty Preparation
  1. Peel and boil vegetables until soft
  2. Mash the vegetables
  3. Add rice and seasoning and mix
  4. Form into patties
  5. Fry on stove or bake in oven at 350⁰ for 40 minutes
  6. Flip over after 20 minutes
Garnish Preparation
  1. Chop all tomatoe, onion and avocado into small cubes
  2. Add salt, pepper and tabasco sauce to taste and mix
Notes
Place veggetable patty on bread of your choice. I used a pretzel bun
Add a layer of lettuce on top of patty
Add garnish ingredients on top of lettuce
