Get rid of squirrels | Build a squirrel proof cage

Get rid of squirrels | Build a squirrel proof cage

Get rid of squirrels by building a squirrel proof cage.  If you love gardening like I do, you have probably searched for tips on how to get rid of squirrels.  I have done a lot of research and tested the tips I found on-line.  This is a follow-up to a post I wrote titled HOW TO GET RID OF GROUNDHOGS, SQUIRRELS, AND RACCOONS .

What I have found is that groundhogs and raccoons can be managed effectively with fencing and/or live trapping.   However, these methods are ineffective against squirrels.  A whole different approach is required to get rid of squirrels.

I have tried a myriad of tips to get rid of squirrels.  All have been ineffective in the long term.  The squirrels seem to have laughed at my attempts.  The only thing that I have found to work 100% of the time against squirrels is a squirrel proof cage around your vegetables.

My friends, don’t fool yourself into thinking that anything short of a cage will keep squirrels away from your vegetables. Some methods such as critter repellents will give you short term results, but the squirrels will soon get use to the smell or whatever you are trying and will ignore it or figure out a way around it.  Don’t waste your money on noise makers or any other supposed trick to get rid of squirrels.  The only thing that really works is a cage.  Check out the cage I built in the video below or by clicking here

Conclusion:

Since building the cage, I no longer get stressed out when I see a squirrel in my yard.  I can now relax and enjoy them as they run around my yard.  I can rest easy because I know there is no way they can get damage my veggies.
